Jaime Munguia`s Green and Gold Ambitions

World Boxing Council # 1 ranked middleweight Jaime Munguia,  was a special guest during the traditional “Coffee Tuesday” sharing his future plan,  which entails becoming  world champion of the most important and prestigious WBC.

Jaime stressed that he aims to achieve this dream next year; however, he clarified that he wants to staying busy, with a fight in January or February, and then look for the title opportunity.

Regarding his October 30th triumph, where he stopped the experienced and hard hitting Tureano Johnson, the undefeated 24-year-old fighter was clear in saying that it was indeed a complicated fight, but that he demonstrated maturity and growth in his boxing skills, a situation that makes him extremely satisfied, as he recognized that  he drew upon a reservoir of experience gained in the last year.

Willing, wanting and eager to face the very best, Jaime wants a fight with Gennady Golovkin, not only because it would propel him  to the big leagues, but it would show that he has all the experience and skills to face the superstar elite.

Without ruling out a fight against Saul Álvarez, Jaime is convinced that this is a fight that all the boxing public wants to see.  However, he was emphatic in saying that he would like this meeting to take place when the COVID-19 pandemic is more controlled, since he wants the fans  to be able to attend the arena, and be on the edge of their seats in anticipation and thrilling excitement.
